Hemmingson
Merit
Hemmingson is a famous Swedish composer, arranger, keyboard
player and singer. She started her musical career back
in the '60s with the jazz band "Merit Hemmingson
and her girl stars". Later, she gave up jazz music
and played with various artists for some years. In the
late sixties, Merit started playing the Hammond organ
and formed the band "Meritones". Merit is
most well-known for her interpretations of Swedish folk
music and had three golden records in the beginning
of the '70s. Over the years, Merit has been into all
sorts of musical styles - from classical to jazz and
pop. Nowadays, she writes her own music in the folk
music genre.

Merit recently replaced her Hammond organ with two Nord
Electro 2 SixtyOne's. "The Electros sound fabulous
and are a lot easier to tour with", says Merit.
In the MP3's below, Merit plays her Nord Electros together
with an external bass pedal board. She also added a
little reverb to the mix. Download and enjoy!
